Information about website visits
Like most website operators, VF collects non-personal data of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, device type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. VF’s purpose in collecting non- personal data is to better understand how VF’s visitors use the Site.
VF also collects potentially personal data like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. VF does not use such information to identify its visitors and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses client specific data, as described below.
Cookies are small files sent to your computer that uniquely identify your browser. VF sets a cookie when you visit our website. Information about using our Service tool
In order to use our Service tool you are required to enter into an agreement with VF and to submit certain data to VF. Such collected data may include the name of your company, the industry in which your company operates, customer details, number of employees, the target group, opening hours and sales figures. Once you entered into an agreement, you have the ability to review, update and correct the information, in the event it changes. We use your data in connection with the Service tool to discover the (potential) market and create a standard solution in the field of local marketing, location planning, store benchmarking, etcetera.
If you have supplied your email address, VF may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what is going on with VF and our services.
VF takes reasonable steps to protect customer data as you transmit it to our Site or Service tool and to protect such information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Web servers use 2048-Bit HTTPS Certificates and are protected by firewalls. File uploading is encrypted and takes place through the web user interface, API (planned) or through sFTP. However, you should keep in mind that no Internet transmission is ever completely secure or error-free.
Client specific data (including metadata and files) are stored independently per client. In addition, all data access is done through middleware with security checks.
For the purpose of the Service tool, we use a login security. All passwords are saved encrypted and protected against XSS and code injection. However, you are responsible for keeping your passwords confidential. Will we not ask for your passwords.
Information, access, correction, blocking and deletion of your data
Your data is yours. You may, upon written request, inspect or remove all your data. Upon termination of a server, the server is first scrubbed before release. In the event an agreement with VF is terminated, your data with regard to the agreement will permanently expunged from our servers and further access to your data will not be possible.
Additionally, you can notify us in writing if you do not wish to be contacted with information about our products and services by reporting at firstname.lastname@example.org.
