The visualfabriq team is delighted to have reached a key milestone in this maturing phase of our company. Our dedicated seven-month long project last year to meet the standards and requirements of the International Standard for Assurance Engagements (ISAE) has resulted in our achievement of the ISAE 3402 type 1 certificate. For our COO, Sjaak Langerveld and Stephanie Coulthard it is the pat on the back for a job well done!
Sjaak has been instrumental in the development and implementation of a variety of organizational processes and procedures that have enhanced visualfabriq’s operations and set us on the path as an accountable and sustainable, process-driven and customer-focused business. While Stephanie has now taken on a new portfolio, it was her responsibility then as a management trainee in 2016 to write up our report to the ISAE’s team of independent auditors. Of course, the design and implementation of the necessary processes and procedures has been a true team effort with everyone working together in the development of systems and the report. It has now also become the responsibility of every visualfabriq team member to adhere to the internal controls and processes so that we demonstrate over time our capacity to meet the requirements of the type 2 certificate.
“The ISAE 3402 engagement is an important, independent indicator that visualfabriq has effectively designed and established international best practices when it comes to our internal controls,” says CEO, Jaco Brusse, “A current Service Auditor’s Report gives our existing and prospective customers peace of mind, and relieves them of the expenses of conducting their own audits as a prerequisite to engaging with us.”
The recent ISAE 3402 audit has rigorously interrogated and tested visualfabriq’s internal controls including:
- Security management
- Service level management
- Hosting SaaS and availability management
- Access management
- Incident management
- Change management
- Continuity management
- And, configuration management
