With bright tulips blooming, trees along the canals shimmering with new green leaves and sunshine in the parks, it is said that Spring is the best time to be in Amsterdam. Well, this year, the visualfabriq team has another good reason to visit the city in early May.
From the 9th to the 11th of May, Amsterdam is host to the 2017 POI European Promotion Optimisation Summit, and it is an event we are not going to miss. In fact, for the second year, visualfabriq will be one of the sponsors of the summit. “Once again POI will be bringing together retailers and manufacturers, solutions providers and other industry leaders so that there can be continuous improvement in the approaches to, and the returns on investment from trade promotions,” comments Jaco Brussé, visualfabriq’s CEO, “As an industry ‘old hand’ but a relatively new solutions provider, visualfabriq appreciates the credible platform that the POI Summit provides to network, connect and demonstrate our uniqueness.”
A highlight of the 2017 Summit will be the presentation of Carst Vaartjes, Co-founder and Chief Product Strategy of visualfabriq. Last year, Carst delivered a presentation on ‘Driving Trade Promotion Effectiveness’sharing his thought leadership on Big Data, Pricing, TPM and TPO. [A PDF of that presentation can be downloaded at https://visualfabriq.com/resources/library/] In 2017, Carst will build on this knowledge with his cutting-edge presentation of ‘The Role of Machine Learning to Significantly Improve Forecast Accuracy’.
Carst will share best practices to achieve the best possible estimations for demand and financial forecasts in promotional planning. He will address key questions, such as:
- What are the key elements that enable accurate estimation?
- How can machine learning help you to improve this?
- How can you overcome organisational resistance against machine-based predictions?
- How to Make Pricing & Promotion Work Harder – Getting to the Prize
The two-day event will give delegates ample opportunities to engage with both founders of visualfabriq, Jaco Brussé and Carst Vaartjes. The company’s new implementation partners, EyeOn and EOH will also be in attendance. The Summit comes hot on the heels of visualfabriq achieving two POI ‘Best in Class’ distinctions in their 2016 TPx Panorama report .
“We’re looking forward to sharing the values we live as the visualfabriq team, and to showing the relevance to customers and immense capabilities that we have built into our unique platform and solutions at POI’S 2017 event,” says Brussé.
